Liquid Damage & Spills
Assessment of boards exposed to water or other liquids, including corrosion, damaged traces and affected components. The extent of damage determines repair feasibility.
A laptop that will not power on, charge or start correctly may have a motherboard-level fault. CoreRevive Tech Repairs arranges careful assessment and repair options for supported laptop models, including chip-level diagnostics for short circuits, liquid damage, charging faults and BIOS issues. You receive clear findings and a quotation before work begins.
We investigate the symptoms, inspect affected circuits and determine whether a practical repair route is available for your laptop model.
Assessment of boards exposed to water or other liquids, including corrosion, damaged traces and affected components. The extent of damage determines repair feasibility.
Fault finding when a laptop shows no signs of life, will not start or shuts down unexpectedly. Power input, charging circuits and related components are checked.
Investigation of shorted power rails, burnt circuits and failed components, including capacitors and MOSFETs where accessible and repairable.
Assessment of charging problems, damaged charging ICs, DC input circuitry and power-management components. The charger, battery and port are also considered as possible causes.
Investigation of corrupted BIOS or firmware that may prevent startup or cause boot problems. Reprogramming or chip replacement may be considered where supported.
Assessment of damaged solder joints, connection faults and CPU-related board issues. Repair options depend on the laptop's design and whether the component is serviceable.
Where technically feasible, failed onboard components such as MOSFETs, capacitors, power controllers and other small components may be replaced.
Fine-pitch board areas and solder joints can be inspected using suitable magnification and diagnostic equipment to help locate faults accurately.
After an approved repair, the laptop is checked for stable power behaviour, charging and basic operation. Testing scope depends on the fault and available hardware.
Laptop motherboards are compact and densely populated. Detailed inspection helps identify the likely cause before a repair is approved.
You stay informed at each stage, and no repair begins without your approval.
Send the laptop brand and model, symptoms and any relevant history, such as a recent power surge.
The board and related hardware are checked to identify the likely fault and repair feasibility.
We explain the findings, costs and expected timeframe. Work starts only after you approve.
Approved work is completed and the motherboard is checked for power stability and operation before return arrangements.
Collection is not automatic and courier collection is not our standard service. If you need CoreRevive to collect your laptop personally, ask when booking your assessment.
Include your suburb, laptop brand and model, and a brief description of the fault. We will confirm whether collection can be arranged.
Request a RepairWhat to expect before arranging a laptop motherboard assessment.
We assess supported laptop makes and models, including Windows laptops and selected MacBook models. Repair feasibility depends on the exact model, board design, parts availability and fault.
It depends on the laptop model, fault, components required and complexity of the repair. We assess the board and provide a quotation for approval before any repair work begins.
Timeframes vary depending on diagnostic requirements, repair complexity and component availability. We provide an estimated timeframe after assessment.
Courier is not a standard collection option. Personal collection by CoreRevive may be requested after 4:00pm, subject to your location and availability. Please request it when booking and wait for confirmation before handover.
That depends on the laptop model, extent of damage, replacement cost and overall value of the device. We explain the findings and practical options so you can make an informed decision before approving the work.
Possibly, but it depends on how far the liquid has spread, whether corrosion has damaged board layers and which components are affected. An assessment is needed before confirming feasibility.
Qualifying repairs include a six-month warranty on parts and workmanship, subject to the applicable service and warranty terms. Coverage for the proposed repair will be explained with your quotation.
If the agreed fault cannot be successfully repaired, the labour charge for that repair is not payable. Any parts or other costs specifically agreed in advance are handled separately.
Qualifying motherboard repairs are backed by a six-month warranty on parts and workmanship, subject to the applicable warranty terms and exclusions.
Send us your laptop or motherboard model, the symptoms and any relevant history. Weโll help you arrange the next step.
Send us your details once. WhatsApp will open with your repair request ready to send.
